Roni Islam: “Feed the Future Bangladesh Climate Smart Agriculture Activity (CSA) Harvest and Field Day was celebrated in the courtyard of Chakdosh Pandit’s house, Ward 2, Kachia Union, Borhanuddin Upazila, Bhola district.

This morning (December 8), Sunday, the implementation and management of the field day was carried out by Sanjit Chandra Burman, District Field Coordinator, Bhola.

The harvest and field day of the exhibition of Boro paddy of Bangladesh Climate Smart Agriculture Activity (CSA) was held by IFDC. This morning from noon This field day was held with the support of the Department of Agricultural Extension with the funding of USAID.
District Coordinator Sanjit Chandra Barman said,
On this occasion, 40 farmers and farmers participated in the harvest and field day of Bri Dhan 52 and BR22 rice produced on the land of farmer Karim Bhai. Compared to the way they used to cultivate rice by planting seedlings in a messy manner, now they have benefited more by cultivating rice in rows, which is directly proven before you today.

Upazila Agriculture Officer expressed happiness over this success of the farmers and said that they will continue this trend in the future.
Agriculture Deputy Assistant Officer Faisal said that we are currently at a point of success in rice cultivation. We have stopped using the rice seeds that they used to cultivate in the past and are cultivating rice in a new way and the production is increasing by about half a ton per hectare.

More than two hundred local rice farmers were also present at the event. Local dignitaries and journalists from online and print media were present at the discussion, chaired by Md. Alamgir (59).
